Despite having the top picks, Deano was pipped to our own Claret Jug by the King of Golf – Mr Fred Norris! Who pockets the biggest purse in Golf Challenge history. Thankfully he’ll have to chase his own debt up this time!!!
He won by two shots with an aggregate score of 33 under. Bring on the Rugby World Cup!!!
Although we are on Saturday it is still day two – we have two players who have missed our own cut: Gareth and Andy. Top of the pile is Byron!

In the end I couldn’t stay the course and watch the end of the golf – pretty much like Dustin Johnson. He left so many putts out there he will be having nightmares!!
In the more important competition, another collapse from Team Drew mean the Team JC brought home the bacon. Another second place for me – I’m going to have to change the prize allocation on this!
Four way tie at the top of the US Open and a two-way tie at the top of the Golf Challenge – could it come down to the pick factor? Could be a first I think?
Well it is all close at the top of the table on an extremely interesting course. The West Coast Time Zone is a bit of an issue in terms of viewing hours, but I will perservere! Highlight of Day Two was the commentary of Jason Day falling over due to vertigo issues – terms such as horrific and “worst thing I’ve ever seen on a golf course” show just how dangerous a game golf is!
In the competition, I am leading by one, it was a lot better when I went to sleep – Dustin Johnson must have blown a few out of his arse!
In the end it was a shame that Jordan Spieth failed to break the all-time record , but it was an amazing performance from the 21 years old.
We had our own wire to wire winner in Craig who in the end won by 5 shots.
